CharleyVarrick 283 Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) Since yesterday evening, as soon as I start Kodi, I get 2 quick error popup at bottom right The first says: Skin Helper Service Error. Check the log for more information within a couple seconds it is replaced by second error message: Emby Error. Check the log for more information After a couple seconds, the 2nd message disapear and I can use Kodi. It looks like its not updating itself, though. Usually, when I start Kodi, within 10 sec, Emby for Kodi says "welcome jlr" right of the Emby shortcut, then I get the little box on top showing content updates. Since yesterday, no welcome and no updates. I have restarted Emby server, to no effect Those error messages are vague for me, which log am I suppose to check, Kodi's or Emby's? I went to emby dashboard/log and this is the last few lines as I was opening kodi and getting the errors I dont see a reference to an error Below is Kodi log, that one mention some kind of Python error 2017-01-18 04:14:54.1336 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to 192.168.0.191. CharleyVarrick 283 Posted January 19, 2017 Author Posted January 19, 2017 (edited) Thanks null_pointer, it did not fix it, but I am not 100% sure I performed the uninstall/reinstall properly. Is there a "uninstall version" of: https://emby.media/emby-for-kodi.html? EDIT: On: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/plugin.video.emby/wiki/Emby-Repository there is an essential "last step" missing from previous link. All seems well now Edited January 19, 2017 by jlr19
CharleyVarrick 283 Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 Don't be sorry, you pointed me in the right direction! I'm all good now Cheers!
horstepipe 373 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) Hey guys Just want to inform you that me and two of my users faced the same problem these days. Looks like most files of the script.module.requests folder are simply gone (including the addon.xml). I'm not sure how this could happen, guess the repo broke something here...? I had to replace the folder with one from a working backup installation. If anybody else is facing this problem, I attached the plugin (v2.12.4, zip archive) Edited January 20, 2017 by horstepipe

I had to replace the folder with one from a working backup installation. If anybody else is facing this problem, I attached the plugin (v2.12.4, zip archive) It was quick n' easy fix for us both. Still, I too would like to know: What happened? Why? What caused it? Is it likely to happen again? Can I do something about it? Edited January 20, 2017 by jlr19
