yuelpl 0
Hi, I'm running openmediavault ver2.2.13 and Emby 3.1.0.0. I have tried different versions of ffmpeg both from the link wich is given or https://github.com/M...er/ffmpeg/linux, unpacked and put it in different locations, pointed to folder or ffmpeg directly. ffrobe is in that location too. Its just like it was from the tar.xz All these files with full read write access, like this: root@OMV:/media/6459152d-cd0b-44d5-bd7e-8a355fb5fd18/emby/ffmpeg# ls -l drwxrwsrwx+ 2 emby users 4096 12月 21 14:46 20160215 drwxrwsrwx+ 3 emby users 4096 12月 20 16:41 20161220 drwxrwxrwx+ 3 emby users 4096 12月 21 14:24 ffmpeg-3.2.2-64bit-static root@OMV:/media/6459152d-cd0b-44d5-bd7e-8a355fb5fd18/emby/ffmpeg/20161220# ls -l -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 45281904 12月 20 13:48 ffmpeg -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 46481904 12月 20 13:54 ffmpeg-10bit -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 45195568 12月 20 13:48 ffprobe -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 40459544 12月 20 13:48 ffserver -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 35147 12月 20 13:54 GPLv3.txt drwxrwsrwx+ 2 emby users 4096 12月 20 16:36 manpages -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 742472 12月 20 13:48 qt-faststart -rwxrwxrwx+ 1 emby users 2675 12月 20 13:54 readme.txt It always sais the same thing: We're unable to locate FFmpeg using the path you've entered. FFprobe is also required and must exist in the same folder. These components are normally bundled together in the same download. Please check the path and try again. And I can't palyback any videos. Anyting else can I do to fix it? Thanks. server-63617931172.txtserver-63617932785.txtffmpeg-transcode-d09a432f-f5a2-413b-9f95-b35cc78a628c.txt
Luke 37251
When you downloaded and unzipped it, did you make sure to mark both ffmpeg and ffprobe as executable?
yuelpl 0
When you downloaded and unzipped it, did you make sure to mark both ffmpeg and ffprobe as executable? Yes, I used the "chmod -R 777 /emby", and then, wiith the "ls -l" command, you can see both ffmpeg and ffprobe have the "rwx" permission, it means Emby, user and others can read, write and execut both ffmpeg and ffprobe. But, the path doesn't work.
Luke 37251
Hi @@yuelpl, what value did you enter into the configuration page where you specify the ffmpeg path? From my viewpoint at least, it looks like in the dropdown you chose system installed version, when you should have chosen custom version and pointed to your downloaded copy. Hi, I filled /media/6459152d-cd0b-44d5-bd7e-8a355fb5fd18/emby/ffmpeg/20161220 or /media/6459152d-cd0b-44d5-bd7e-8a355fb5fd18/emby/ffmpeg/20161220/ffmpeg in the configuration page. And chosed custom version. Both of them cant work.
