rliepins 9 Posted November 19, 2016 Share Posted November 19, 2016 (edited) Hi After doing a clean install of Emby Server, my DVD rips are playing with the full DVD menu which I can't seem to control.. Before my reinstall, Emby Server was transcoding them and playing the main movie by default. Playback is via Emby Theater. The web client seems to play the main movie by default. Luke 37994 Posted November 19, 2016 Share Posted November 19, 2016 Hi, transcoding of folder rips has always been an experimental feature, simply because it's not natively supported by ffmpeg. Can you provide an ffmpeg log from this attempt? Instructions on how to do that can be found here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ There is one possible situation on the emby-side that might have caused this which is what I want to verify. Other than that this is something that we're essentially doing the best we can with, and if you really want them to transcode seamlessly then you'll need to convert them to plain video files.
