CharleyVarrick 277
Hi, on the Emby web page, a design choice was made to go for icons instead of named button, which I totally agree with, as it is eye pleasing and gives it that clean uncluttered look. For instances on the manage server pages, top right shows: looking glass (search), a circle with a number inside (dont know yet what it means) and last a user icon (dont know yet) On the Home and Media pages, we lose the circled number, but have a gear (for settings) and a box with waves (dont know yet) Once in a media page, if I click a movie, I sometime see what looks like a green leaf with a number beside (dont know yet). So just for those 6, I only know for sure about Search and Settings, and I consider myself tech savy. Yes, I could click on them and hope to find out, but I'm of a school of tought that prefers knowing what a button will do BEFORE clicking on it. And like many Emby enthusiasts, other house users might be even more baffled by those nameless icons. Wouldn't it be preferable to have balloon tips when we hover over an icon, giving everyone a short description BEFORE we click it? After all, its been done for Select View, Sort and Filter, why stop there? Thanks for the great work by the way, JLR
