Server now very slow

Now I'm starting to see a bunch of the following errors in the log.  This is while marking episodes as played (which, by the way, has taken all day and still isn't done):

I get that I screwed up my own system initially, but I have to believe that 3.0.8500.0 is borked.  I have been trying to set my system back up for over a week (with 4 different installs) and it's been an utter failure.  I get things set up but it just becomes dog slow and unusable.  I didn't have a quarter of these problems setting up Emby Server for the first time.  This is beyond futile.  My last log just became littered with errors like I posted above (I've attached it) and the system became totally unresponsive.

FYI - Things slowed way down again and I did another fresh install.  It now seems to be running better but I still do get some slowdown sometimes when the server is doing something in the background.
