[feature request] external subtitles minimum controls

Hello all,

 

As some of you may (or not) be aware. I'm a happy user of EMBY server app and client.

 

Altough this is by far, in conjunction with KODI, the BEST software out there, I really think (as a non-english user) that it lacks SO MUCH on subtitle control + support.

 

Setting aside the known bug on ANSI external subtitles in LINUX servers, reported by me here:  https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/39560-subtitle-ansi-marking-on-accented-characters/

 

(and still not solved)

 

I would like to request the following:

 

Please give us the ability to control external subtitles positioning + font color + font size like any app nowadays does?

 

I say again, this is, by far, the best software out there. And I've also donated. But, as an enthusiastic fan of this team+package, I think these kind of requests are good and not a critic

 

Is it "doable" ?

@@Luke, well, props to me then, I guess Don't forget this. It's really lackluster on this matter. Keeps the software from being state of the art, cause everything else so far it's top notch.

 

Talking about subtitles, did you read my question on the accented characters bug that you are aware of? Is it being looked into by you personally? Sorry for this bothering but IT REALLY keeps me from streaming when I'm not home.
