ok but shouldn't it behave like this:

If transcoding is not allowed the client gets a message that the movie can't be played instead of playing the movie without sound?

 

Only if it can be detected that there is no sound, which is not always the case. When transcoding is disabled we just try to let the video player play it and then live with the result.
