Emby Theater as Main Web Interface

Are there any plans to make Emby Theater the main web interface - at the moment it's all a bit confusing. For those of us that have a domain set up for Emby it would be ideal.

Slightly unrelated point but to me 'Theater' implies an all in one solution such as WMC or Kodi - where does Emby Theater come in, if you have to run it in a browser how does that work on a dedicated htpc where you would ideally not want any kind of desktop environment and would probably want the ability to access physical media such as dvds/removable storage. I know there's also the 'old' Emby Theater but it's not clear whether that is still being developed.

That being said Emby theater does look aesthetically stunning! So well done.

The old Emby Theater is not being developed at all. We will resolve catastrophic issues should they arise but so far there haven't been any. Emby Theater is on a collision course to one day merge with the mobile web app, but right now users of both audiences are waiting on features so it's not really the highest priority at the moment.

There really shouldn't be any problem running Emby Theater from our domain aside from your desire to see your own domain in the address bar. It is just static html and everything runs in the browser device. And it even supports running without an internet connection so that argument isn't there either:

Fair do's and whilst a very niche use case for me Emby is behind a reverse proxy and implements active directory authentication hence the desire for it.

But yeah still not convinced how it would work on a dedicated media centre computer if it's entirely browser based  - currently using Kodi for my htpc which is working great but it would be even better to have something more tightly integrated.

You can still have that with the HTML on our domain. There is no functional difference because no matter where the HTML comes from the network requests to you server are the same. They do not run through our server or any place else, it's all direct from user device.
