skuuup 24 Posted August 12, 2016 Share Posted August 12, 2016 It would be amazing if Emby could solve an issue I have where my family members would like to download some of the music that we share, so that they can add it to their local folders, MP3 players, etc. Currently, Emby only has the Download option in context menu for single songs. They would like to download entire Artists and Albums. I understand that anything more than single song downloads could generate a lot of traffic. One possible solution for this would be to have per-user permissions to restrict downloading to artists+albums, albums, or just single songs. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

skuuup 24 Posted August 12, 2016 Author Share Posted August 12, 2016 (edited) Sync only syncs to phones and registered devices.The way that my family consumes music is primarily via MP3 players, so we need the raw media files. But when listening to music at home via HTPC, we will normally use Emby Theater. Even then, it would be great to see better playlist functionality added to ET in the future. For this reason, some of my family still prefers iTunes over ET and would like to be able to download the raw media files.
