karnshome 0 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Hey guys I am new to emby and would like to get a better understanding on how to install this on my current system. I am running on a DS212 on DSM 6. I am not able to find the appropriate mediainfo file in packages center. I am also not able to determine the correct ffmpeg and Emby file based on my CPU/architecture which is 88f6282(armv5) . Does the appropriate file exist for my nas or do I need to downgrade my DSM in order for it to work. Can anyone help me out?
Abobader 3336 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Good day, At beta at the moment (for easy setup, and working very well indeed), but you can provide info if you want to be on it at: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/34866-synology-package-in-development/ My best
Luke 40070 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 We have a new installation procedure for Synology users. It's very easy and is now on our website: http://emby.media/nas-server.html All Synology users are recommended to use this going forward (if your model supports it).
Solution solabc16 379 Posted September 10, 2016 Solution Posted September 10, 2016 Hello @@karnshomeThe Emby package for Marvell based systems is now available, see this post for more details: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/22921-synology-setup/page-20&do=findComment&comment=365086Best- James
karnshome 0 Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 thanks man, I got it installed and running
karnshome 0 Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 guys so I got Emby installed on my server, but It is running so slow that I started yesterday afternoon to add my libraries and I am still attempting that at this time is this normal?
Happy2Play 9441 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Depending on the size of your library, it can take awhile. Even on a machine with power a new library build can take more than a day.
shad0h 8 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Internet speed may be a factor too, depending which options you chose for metadata lookup during the scan. If your internet is slow, each of those meta lookups / image downloads can take a while. Once it has finished the first scan, it should be much quicker on each of those tasks.

If you're not running release 3.0.7200, then you can update easily via Package Center. Feel free to send across your support logs and I can take a look at how your system is performing: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-How-to-Send-us-Support-Logs - James

solabc16 379 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Hello @@karnshome The 3.0.7300 package for your platform was published yesterday, you should find that it is now available within Package Center. Instructions for sending the logs are on the Wiki here https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-How-to-Send-us-Support-Logs - James
