Problems running emby on MacBook

Hi everyone!

 

I'm a long time Plex user and wanted to give Emby a try. I consider myself pretty good with computers, but emby is just not working for me. I've followed the instructions, have installed emby several times, but every time I open emby it crashes. I've tried restarting, fresh installs and nothing works. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm having trouble finding the log files.  I'm unable to get them using the web interface or dashboard since the server fails to ever start.  The directions you sent only show how to find the log file within windows, if I'm not mistaken.  I searched through package contents as well as the system libraries and was unable to find any log files.  Am I missing something?

Try shutting down the server and deleting this file

/Users/davidbanas/.config/mediabrowser-server/data/library.db

I deleted the file and did a fresh install. Maybe when I deleted the server app it didn't delete everything?

So you had the server a while ago? i think the issue is just the latest version reacting badly to an upgrade from a really old version, which we can fix.
