Trying to install the Anime plug-in.

Says I need to restart Emby server after install. After restart the plug-in is gone though, as if I never installed it.

Anyone else had this problem?

(works fine with other plug-ins)

Regards

Why do you say it didn't install?  Is it not in your \Emby-Server\plugins folder?  It won't appear in My Plugins mentioned in another topic.  Look in Metadata-Services-drop down content type (Series, Season, Episode).

To uninstall shutdown server and delete dll file from plugin folder.

yeah me too! first time installed the server then straight to anime plug-in. it asked me to restart -> circle progress notification -> emby splash screen displays -> app plugin asked me to run --> notification said it is now installed. when checked again in the plug-in section it said that there was no plugin installed.

As stated above it won't show in "My Plugins".  Do you see the options available in Metadata-Services?

I haven't tried installing it in a little over a month, but I had the same problem as you describe, except the server froze when I tried to restart it.

I believe the developer has drop support and the core team hasn't found a new developer to take it over.

As I understand it, it does install and you will see anidb as an option under identify, but it does not show up as installed.

I pushed a new version of the plugin. please try that. Make sure you're running the latest version of Emby Server. Thanks.

I've installed the anime plugin. I see the dll, I see the options in the metadata settings. However, if I go back to the plugin catalog and select the anime plugin, it still says "Install" like it's not installed...

FYI - Anime support is pretty awful Luke - literally, nothing works (episode detection and watch status for absolute numbering). I have anidb set at the top of the list of providers, I'm trying to fix Dragon Ball Super, for some wacko reason, it won't detect anything pass episode 18. I know the right Ids are assigned at series and episode level. It just doesn't work and I HATE that I hit refresh and it just remains the same! I even deleted the nfo for episode 19, refreshed it. Same thing. I can't get it to work and update with actual info (currently looks to be unidentified).  - On top of that, the server always tries to re-detect what it is, generating updates every day.

I know you are most likely not an anime user, but if you do decide to have a quick look at some point, let me know! I wouldn't mind giving you access to my test server so you can actually see how painfully broken this is.

The service is available for series, but not for movies. As it is, it still seems to be spotty as to when it is actually pulling or not though.
