Kodi can't access files remotely

I recently set up an Emby Server on my own Home Server and it's working really well so far.

I am currently trying to access Emby Server via Kodi and the Emby Plugin (http://kodi.emby.media). It seems like I am able to connect to Emby (the bottom right notifier says "Welcome XXXXX". I tried to configure my laptop (without beeing home). I installed the Plugin configured it like follows:

 

On Emby settings under the Emby Tab:

-I setup the Primary Server Adress: "somerandomwebsitename.com"

-used the default port 8096

-entered my username

 

Under the sync options:

- Enable fast startup (I installed the plugin on the server)

 

Under playback tab:

- Play from HTTP instead of SMB (I tried it first with SMB at home, but it didn't work)

 

The rest remains the same like the default setting.

 

The Problem is, that my library in Kodi is not showing any movie or tv show. It seems to be connected with Emby, but can't access the files. Did I Miss anything?

After the first start if Kodi with the Emby for Kodi addon installed, there should start a complete sync of your library to your Kodi device. Did this happen?

If not, you can trigger this manually by starting the Addon from your programs folder, navigate down to do a complete resync.
