Duplicate Music Artists

I have discovered an issue in the TVOS App where I see multiple entries for an Artists.    It is not just specific to one artist, I have it happen on numerous.   For example, as a test I selected Jimmy Eat World as a favorite artist.  One the main screen, they show up 3 times (Pic #1).   If I go into ARTISTS, I see multiple selections for Aerosmith, The Afters, Against Me!,etc. (Pic #2).     If I compare on my Nvidia Shield TV, I have only one artist listed for Jimmy Eat World (Pic), and Aerosmith (Pic).    I do have multiple entries for Jimmy Eat World in my favorites (Pic).

 

If I bring up the web interface, there are no triplicate entries (Pic).  I have double and triple checked my MP3 tagging, and it is correct.   I am stumped on why this is occuring.  

 

Any ideas?

It is because the Apple TV app is showing you both Artists and Album Artists in that view.  I will probably be changing that soon to just show Album Artists.

Thanks for the info and look forward to the update.      I imagine the FAVORITES on the SHIELDTV is showing both as well?

1.0.6 just shows AlbumArtists in the Artists view.

Yes it does, thanks!   I still see triple entries in the favorites (both shield & tvos), but figure that will be remedied in another update.
