ballos 1
Hi, I got 2 questions. First I got the problem that only one user can watch a movie. If an other user want to watch an other movie he only got a black screen. At the moment emby runs on a pc with a CPU 4x 3.5 ghz, 8 gb ram, and 2x 2gb gpu. Internet connection ist 200 mbit/s down and 12 Mbit/s up. I think here it should be possible to run 2 or more streams at the same time. Have I to configure that anywhere in the server details ? And the second question is, if it is possible to run emby on a raspberry pi 3 model B Here I want to stream more than one movie at the same time, if it is possible. Thanks for help
Sven 136
Can you also post your logs? See my signature for more information... So we can see then why you can't start more then 1 stream.
ballos 1
here is the log file. The first stream was on a tv and the second I tried on a ps4, but there I only get a black screen. In the past I already watched on the ps4 server-63594851949.txt
Sven 136
You also have 2 transcoding files? Can you also post them? I also see multiple ffmpeg kill commands. So what did you try to play on which machine (tv & ps4) and what time. It would be easier to debug the problem.
ballos 1
I got more than 2 files. The first one (transcode-8f76e36b-4b31-4d52-ad84-f3b12f188f81.txt) was the first stream on TV. This was displayes without problems. The rest were the tries on the ps4. Every time with only a black screen. The time was around 19:30 transcode-8f76e36b-4b31-4d52-ad84-f3b12f188f81.txt transcode-933da482-c0a9-4e2d-90dc-57120a8e4dde.txt transcode-a79676c6-9701-48c4-90ca-33216edb477e.txt transcode-b7f84bfc-f7ac-4966-b0fc-1bc3905ac59e.txt transcode-ebe72a6d-dd9b-4956-99bf-ba5118743380.txt Edited March 31, 2016 by ballos
ballos 1
okay. I got new informations. It seems that I cant see any stream on a ps4. I tried it with two different. Last weekend everything worked fine. Could it be a bug in the new version 3.0.5911.0 ? On a PC I can see two streams together without problems. ballos 1
Yes last weekend before the update everything worked fine on PS4. This was the last time I watched something on it. Yesterday I tried it on PS4 and at the same time on PC. On PC everything was fine, on PS4 only a black screen.
djonnie 14
And the second question is, if it is possible to run emby on a raspberry pi 3 model B Here I want to stream more than one movie at the same time, if it is possible. A RPI3 probably will not have enough CPU power for transcoding, not even for one thread Direct Streaming to multiple clients is no problem though. You can prevent transcoding by setting up SMB sharing and/or recoding your files to a format that does not require transcoding like H264 MP4 with AAC stereo audio I setup my media files like these on a RPI2 Model B and it streams 1 Full-HD and 2 DVD sized (720x576) movies at the same time without any stuttering follow these steps to setup Emby Server on a RPI: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/27026-raspberry-pi/?p=310962 Edited April 1, 2016 by djonnie
