Upcoming TV Shows - Shows from Previous Night No Longer Listed

I am reporting this "issue" while running Beta Version 3.0.5906.0.  But it has been happening with the past few Beta releases.  The Upcoming Shows screen no longer lists shows from the previous night.  I quite liked this feature, as it allowed me to easily determine the episodes I needed to hunt down if my DVR went down for any reason the previous night.  Is this an intentional change?

I feel that this is probably intentional, since shows that have already aired would no longer be "upcoming".

What you could do is turn on the missing episode feature (I believe it is in the user account preference settings), as this would then indicate missing episodes (as well as unaired episodes) for your shows, provided they are listed on the TVDB.

I have noticed this as well, it seems upcoming is now adjusting to my correct timezone, which is rather frustrating with Australia being a day in front of the US i can no longer see shows that are currently airing in the US. It would be nice to have an option to allow us to see previous days episodes or something similar. I realise i could change my locale to the US but i presume that would throw other things out of whack like ratings etc..

Well that sucks? I guess I'll have to adjust my upcoming chrome extension because "Yesterday" is not a thing anymore? Why change this behavior? Having the day before/overlap provides useful information.

The ability to see what aired the previous day is something I used very often. I was able to se what recorded and what did not record. I could use this info to record a rerun or second showing, I set my DVR to only record new. Unless I manually record the rerun or second showing I will not be able to have it recorded.

If was in the code once It should be added back in as an option to those that use it. Or provide the data through other means. Such as the Chrome plugin in Emby Companion. Which has other issue now that the URL has appended /web.

What is happening with this? Can it be rectified? What possible benefit could you get from taking away the one day overlap...  I am hoping it is a simple oversight from fixing utc dates...

Indeed, having the previous day lets you see what you are lacking so you can catch up. How do we get @@Luke to add this back? Pleasant debate? Angry tirades? A combination of both? Nah..none of those. Instead I will try by merely stating how useful it was. Why was it abandoned?

Yesterday all my problems seemed so far away, Oh I believe in yesterday.

Another vote to have this back, I understand the logic in removing it but it was very useful being able to see last nights airings.

Seriously wtf is happening with Emby at the moment? My whole overall experience of using the app this year has been absolutley horrendous and I used Media Browser for years without any problems!

Why are some of the basic, useful fundamental features (as the one mentioned in this topic is) being omitted by devs who seem more intent and interested in adding or implementing new changes that the majority of us won't use or be interested in and breaking the basic fundamental features in the process!

I learnt my lesson the hard way and turned off auto updates a while back due to the basic functionality of my basic Emby server being screwed up by 'updates' that seemed to add one new thing but screwed up many others. I'm still finding features that are now missing that have always been available as this topic has once again brought to light!

7 posts without any reply from the devs I see - seriously guys - is there any reason for this or is just another 'bug'?

I would also like to add my support for this feature to be as it was in previous releases. Living in the UK, shows that air in America do so around midnight onwards when I am usually generating little zed (Zzzzzzz......) as I sleep.  Therefore when I wake up the next morning here I could see what was on and hunt the episodes down. Like today there were quite a few shows I wanted in my collection and had to change the computer date to bring the list back from yesterday as I'd forgotten which episodes I needed. The upcoming episodes, as it was, was my most visited page and I imagine it would be the same for a great many other Emby users.

Aside from that, keep up the great work. Fantastic system, one I'm proud to show of to friends and that they then envy. Nice work.

Thanks in anticipation,

Lloyd Codrington

I too would love to see this return. What would be great is to have an option to configure how many days in the past it will display. It can default to 0 giving the same functionality as current but the user could then adjust to see as many days as they want in the past.

Guys is this fixed yet on the latest server release?

I'll second that. Outstanding piece of software to get your TV Episodes downloaded as soon as they are available, renamed and inserted into your library. Love it!

@@CBers personally while some might like Sonarr, i was quite happy having emby show me what was needed, what was convenient has now become inconvenient, i'm having to use a 3rd party to find out info that emby previously told me with ease :( but i am having to get used to it, more and more i am finding emby moving away from perfection and towards frustration.

I don't disagree, but until such times as the functionality is restored in Emby, Sonarr would be a good alternative, unless you already use it or something similar.

Thank you @@CBers I didn't know about Sonarr. What a great piece of software, perfectly complements Emby.

Does anyone PLEASE know the last server version that supported being able to view the previous night's TV shows.

Looks like 3.0.5882.0, since this started in (5906).

Thanks for the confirmation H2P :)

I'm sticking with 3.0.5882 and turning off updates as every feature I use and rely upon appears to be getting broken these days :*(

Since this was a change someone should create a feature request and everyone "like" it.

Not to sound mean but I haven't really seen any feature requests implemented or marked as "completed" yet...
