Scan Library of One Source Only?

Issue:  New media is added to my Ubuntu Linux server pretty frequently.  I don't want to thrash my storage by consistently kicking off manual scans like I'm doing now. 

 

One idea I have is to add a new library source located on SSD to at least speed up the scans, however I only see the option to manually kick off scans for the entire library not just one source.  Additionally I don't see an option to schedule scans for a single source.  Unfortunately, real-time monitoring of the filesystem doesn't work from what I can see in forum posts.

 

Does anyone have any ideas how I might go about more frequently updating the library without having to manually kick it off or set a scan to automatically happen really frequently?
