Emby for Chromecast updates

Ok, I am confused as for what these updates are actually talking about or doing.

I have connected to my Chromecast with my phone and laptop while using the Android app and the Web app, respectively.

Is there something that I am missing?

How is it a "Chromecast" update, not an Android, etc. update?

Afaik when you start casting to a chrome cast what you're actually doing is telling to chromecast to go fetch an "app" from google's cloud (At least I think it's hosted by google and not the devs), when Emby releases a chrome cast update I suspect they're updating the "app" the chromecast pulls down from the cloud to play the media.
