Change from XML to NFO

As it seems that XML support is dying out in Emby, what is the best way to change over to NFO support ??

 

Do I change the METADATA settings to use NFO, stop EMBY, delete all XML files, start EMBY and run a LIBRARY scan ??

You don't really  need to delete the existing ones unless you just really believe they are so old they may have issues in them.  You can just make it start creating the nfo from here.

I see an option in the Emby Server under METADATA - SERVICES - METADATA READER that lets you prioritize which file it should read first if there are both an NFO and XML file present.

I'd already changed that, but thanks @@blade005 if that's all that's needed.
