If you click more reply options next to the post button, you should have an option to attach files.  If the file size is still too big, you should be able to compress it to get it down to size as it is just all text.

But Drive works too. :D

That looks much better. :D

Those pings appear to be from the DLNA server so if you don't use DLNA, turning it off should do a lot to reduce the log file's size.

Also, you still seem to be getting a couple of errors due to permissions problems.  They seem to affect Big Hero 6 and Go Panda, so you want to check the permissions on those folders and the files in those folders.  It is only those two movies though so I doubt it is a huge issue.

Luke will have to help you with the Live TV stuff.  Hopefully he can get you sorted out.

This log file was from 2/1 when there was a successful couple of recordings -

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByrtBHddN3ZIU21FX0hvb29xNDA/view?usp=sharing

Hope this helps... can someone look at "recordings" and find a successful one vs one that errors and let me know how to resolve please?

thanks in advance haeffnkr

What does this mean ????  - Value cannot be null.   -- What value? where?

So it appears that if the recording is set on a timer, the timer fires and the app is to pull the channel from my hdhomerun prime tuner, but appears to fail to get the stream?

Why? Nothing wrong with the hdhomerun... has been up for months and I have no issues playing channels live directly from VLC or Emby.

Please help

Can anyone please help me with this issue?

I bought android apps expecting to to use this emby backend as my main dvr as it is supposedly supported with hdhomerun but it does not work at the most basic level.

Thoughts suggestions help ????

Also I sent a pm to  fc7 who suggested that I continue this comical post as he can not help me with any live tv issues.

Luke suggested I post mulitpe logs but can not tell me why I  see to see/have  continue to see errors.

I apologize, I will go over all of this soon.

In the meantime, what linux distro are you on? Can you try the beta branch? Thanks.

the beta branch for ubuntu is here:

https://emby.media/download/

although i'm not sure you can upgrade from stable. @@fc7 can elaborate. we'll have a new stable release out soon.

You can't. You need to remove emby-server package from your distro and install emby-server-beta instead.

It's a pretty easy process. For Ubuntu it should be something like:

$ sudo apt-get remove emby-server
$ sudo apt-get install emby-server-beta

If you then want to go back to stable, just proceed the same way. Remove emby-server-beta and then install emby-server package. You Emby data will not be affected.

Doesn't the latest beta have breaking changes in the database that prevents a downgrade?  Or did that already get pushed to stable?

it's still in beta, so that's correct, you shouldn't try to downgrade.

Oops. Sorry for the suggestion then.

But in other cases where the DB will not be a stopper, the procedure is still good.

BTW @@Luke, I didn't try the beta yet but is there a big red disclaimer that once installed you can't go back to stable until the next release? I'm wondering if users are aware enough about this detail.

I upgraded to the latest release and nothing has changed, ie recording does not start.

I try to view the logs from the web home page server - Server - Support - Logs page and the logs will not display.

Can someone please tell me how to resolve this issue?

Can you try running the refresh guide operation under the server configuration interface -> Live TV?

After that, can you setup some brand new recordings and see how that goes? Thanks.

It shouldn't be necessary for most users but since you've been having issues I would like to test with fresh data

The app is supposed to find the tuner first but it does not ...  WHY !!!! ?????

I have spent more time providing logs than it would have taken to setup mythtv.
But this emby app seems to have promise... at least it looks great so I keep playing with it.... only to get more frustrated.
I can not get upgrade to the premiere and buy more client apps until the DVR works... please.

Please help.
