KillermanGabe 4
Hello,I currently have an Emby Server setup that streams over the internet to multiple users. I will put machine / network specs below. I use CloudFlare for DNS so I can route my domain to the server IP address. I also use CloudFlare for the free SSL they provide. I have tried using their Flexible and Full options, both of which give me the same problem. When using SSL the server will only load sometimes, if I continuously refresh the page then it may load after 10+ tries. Once it loads it seems like it works for a while until it isn't used anymore. If I connect with the direct IP via http then it works fine. The problem only occurs when SSL is on and I connect via https.Server Specs:Virtual Machine 4 vCPU's 8GB RAM 200GB SSD Windows Server 2012 R2 800Mbps Down / 800Mbps Up CloudFlare Settings:Main Domain pointed towards server IP with CloudFlare on SSL: Full Security Level: Low Cache: Standard Page Rules: 1. *<mydomain>.com/* always uses https. All other settings are untouched. Emby Settings: http port number: 80 https port number: 443 Report https as external address: yesAuto port mapping: yes Any help with this is greatly appreciated! Also, I'm willing to give domain to trusted people on the forums via PM.Thanks,Gabriel GullaEDIT: Sorry, forgot log files, http://pastebin.com/zBbs3bd4 Edited January 28, 2016 by KillermanGabe
Luke 37994
This log contains no incoming http requests with ssl which suggest to me that the traffic isn't even making it to emby server
KillermanGabe 4
Hmm... I forgot to mention that if I let the site load long enough then I get the CloudFlare error 524 page. Telling me a timeout occurred, that it was able to connect to the web server but timed out before responding. Since there is no record of SSL connections what do you think the problem could be with? I use VMWare vcloud or CloudFlare?
ebr 15186
Did you open the SSL port on your router and point it to Emby?

KillermanGabe 4
Yes, I port forwarded and have tried accessing it from the ip with https.
KillermanGabe 4
Anything? I attached a new log below, just looking through I think I saw https logged somewhere. emby-1-28-16.txt
Luke 37994
Yes it looks like some https requests got through. This log looks fine and shows no obvious problem. If I had to guess I think it is still an issue of some requests not even reaching emby server.
KillermanGabe 4
I'm sorry to keep asking here but what do you think it's a problem with? Are there known issues with using CloudFlare SSL? Or should I look into my server hosts settings? I use VMWare VCloud air (cloud hosting) and have a Windows server setup that runs emby as a service. I have firewall set to allow all out/in connections on both the VMware interface and Windows firewall.
