TVheadend won't play

DOn't know if anyone have experienced this.

but this is the problem.

if i start the server it runs fine for about 24 hours. then it seems to run fine but it won'tplay anything.

i first noticed the behaviour on a server that i ran on a virtualbox in windows. OS centos7 minimal .

at the same time i had a physical centos7 desktop server running with no issues whatsoever .

now i have tried two different installations virtualised using KVM .

and one Physical install on another machine. all centos7 . and the behaviour repeats itself.

running the latest serverversion on the latest testservers.

and the stable one was running. 3.0.5782.0 Stable i think. installed it around new year.

anyone else experiencing this ?

I'm running latest Emby stable on CentOS 7.2 minimal VM on Hyper-V 2012R2. The VM is running 24x7 and we use Emby several hours a day (music and video streaming) without any issues.

It would help if you provide the server log next time you hit this problem tough. Maybe there is some indication of the problem there.

i will save the log next time it dies.

i had some idea that i might be because it was idle. for several hours. but that seems lika a stupid idea

btw- wich logfile are we talking about.

/Var/log/emby-server.log just seem to spit put the startupsequence and nothing more

/var/lib/emby-server/logs is the default path for Emby logs. Btw I don't think that because it was idle it will fail. But we will have more details in the logs.

ok so now it has stopped playing..

server is running. i can watch movies via the kodi addon.

but when attempting to start anything in the webapp or phoneapp. it just sits waiting.

just to be sure that we should have some error codes in the log i tried to start livetv the last thing i did before sending the logs.

but since i don't know what to look for. i rely on your kindnes =)

file ending with 2000 is the latest logfile

Hi, can you please supply the transcoding log as well? thanks.

Ok, this involves tvheadend, and i see some tvheadend timeout errors. just to keep it simple can you try a plain video file? thanks.

unfortunatly i needed to restart så now it is working.

But when it stops working i get the same result with plain video file aswell..

it is totaly unresponsive.

so i think there must be some other issue then tvheadend. Because the other server. the one that was working , that one is connected to the same tvh-server and don't have the issue.

but i will try with a plain file in the morning. just to get some logs.

Is that the entire log file?  There really isn't anything in it.

So it seens my asumption was wrong.

Tried to play a plain video from the library this morning it started without problem. So then i tried livetv . Unresponsive

So i was wrong about it not having anything to do with tvheadend

Maybe the plugin and server-versions is a bad match .

Tvh-sever is running 3.9
