Playing h265 movies in EMC?

That statement was meant in regards to server support. EMC just uses the windows media center player which relies on installed system codecs. If you use LAV filters I imagine the will add support for it sooner or later if they havent' already.

I believe Luke indicated that H265 is supported as long as you are not transcoding, but I cannot get an MP4/H265 to play, what am I missing?

Thanks for the clarity!

 

Follow up:  LAV Filters 0.67 did the trick!  Also confirmed Web Emby and Android Emby play H.265 (probably stating the obvious on the last two).
