hotte 1
Hello, up to now i used Serviio as DLNA Server. Now i want to switch to Emby, because it is a great software. In the last days i did a lot to solve my last problems with Emby, but now i need some help. I don't have any progress. To use the DLNA is the only possibility for my Samsung UE42C7700, since the Samsung-App needs D-Series or higher. If this does not work, i have to switch back to Serviio:( Problem 1 (biggest problem - MPEG2 files not played): Most of my movies are MPEG2 Movies recorded from TV and converted to MPEG2-PS (extension .MPG). If i play these files with Emby i get the error message from my TV "not supported file format" (translated from german -> "Nicht unterstütztes Dateiformat"). They are not transcoded because of the DirectPlayProfile (See Smart TV CD Series.xml). My TV is able to play such movies. With Serviio it is no problem to play these files without transcoding. I merged the ProtocolInfo as recommended by Oleg: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/25473-samsung-d-series-the-format-of-the-video-file-is-not-supported/?p=249204 I modified the HeaderInfo as recommedned by smoothquark: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24468-dlna-profile-for-samsung-series-c/?p=240286 But nothing solved the problem. Here is my server log: Polarexpress server log.txt There is no transcoding log. Problem 2 (fast forward and rewind): If i manage to transcode (change DirectPlayProfile for mpeg2) such files on my C-series TV, they were played fine, but it is not possible to fast forward or rewind. I have an additional Samsung E-series TV, that plays the MPEG2 files fine with the original Config XML of Emby (without transcoding). But it is also not possible to fast forward or rewind. With serviio i it is possible to fast forward or rewind such files from both TVs (C-Series and E-Series). I know these are two big problems, but i really need your help. hotte 1
Hello, did i provide to less information? I still do not understand why the MPGs are not played by my TV. In the Log i can see the link to the movie http://192.168.2.117:8096/videos/aebb4c4209d0139cb47987173d087177/stream.mpg?Params=52b4bc522ffc5b95a57aadf12954e8d6;test;aebb4c4209d0139cb47987173d087177;true;;;;;;;;;;;0;;;;;;;;;aebb4c4209d0139cb47987173d087177 If i put this in the adress field of my browser, the movie ist played immediately! When one movie ist not played, then the tv tries do play the next, until i close the media player of my tv. Tha tis the reason of the 3 "HTTP HEAD http://192.168.2.117:8096/videos/.../stream.mpg?" I allready changed the Flags of ProtocolInfo "http-get:*:video/mpeg:DLNA.ORG_PN=MPEG_PS_PAL;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=9D700000000000000000000000000000", but without success. It is possible to play the movie on the TV, if i change the profile to transcode MPGs, but this is not what i want. Does Emby give wrong values for bitrate, movie length, etc., that makes Samsung TV unable to play the movie? Does someone have a hint, where i can start/continue searching?
