Utking 0 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Hi all! I'm having some problems with Emby server, I'm running 3.0.5724.4. When playing via the web, or on Android, i cant seem to skip or seek in videos. All it says is unseekable stream:S It's been a while since i used emby now, but as far as i recall i always had the ability to to this earlier, it just took some time before the stream started again. Any ideas?
le.kiwi 0 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Usually the unseekable stream error points at a access rights problem of the file in question. Could you please check the owner and the rights mask of the file?
twinkybot 3 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Hello, I have the same problem. Whit BubbpleUPNP and VLC or MX Player I cannot seek the video stream. The permissions for the folder is rwx for "emby" User and the files have rw. So what else is missing?
Luke 40064 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 have you tried the latest version the android app that was just released a few days ago?
twinkybot 3 Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I think so. But I will check once I am home again.
thefirstofthe300 292 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Does this problem happen on more than just Android? Is this problem limited to one video? It almost sounds to me like the video file itself might be malformed.
Utking 0 Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 Hi again, sorry for late answer Yeah it happens on the pc as well. also i can't see any thumbs for 99% of the videos. It seems to affect most of the Home videos, only a couple of Movies are affected. Arent Emby suppose to extract thumbs from movie files?
Vidman 590 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) No for movies thumbs are downloaded and chapter images are extracted Im not sure about home videos tho as this content type does not search online for metadata Edited September 30, 2015 by Vidman
yunyun24 0 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I'm having the same problem as well. Are there logs I can look at to troubleshoot?
