With WMC going away this is a HUGE move on the part of Emby and I applaud you! I would love to have the option to convert TV recordings on the fly (while they are being recorded) into a more compatible format for streaming devices. The original file could then be auto-deleted or archived. For example, I would love to select a generic MP4/h264 profile, so when my tv show is recording it is also being converted to MP4 when the file is staved. That file could easily stream to Roku devices (plus android/firetv, etc. The resulting video files would be much smaller, could then be auto-categorized by Emby, and support BIF trick play integration.
