jody 4 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Hi there, it would be nice to be able to set/change the web interface language per user, so e.g. user1 has an English web interface and user2 has an Italian web interface, and so on.
Luke 39808 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 The standalone apps have this. With the next update, the hosted web client will also be considered a standalone app and we'll add user settings for that. For your local web client, that's where I think it starts to get a little tricky because we are definitely seeing some new people getting intimidated over the amount of user profile-specific customization. 1
jody 4 Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 was actually mainly interested in it for the hosted webclient, so that is gr8 news, thanks so much
jody 4 Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 okay now I was wondering if there will ever be the same type of language setting available for the emby server. I was thinking about possible work arounds and one would be two have multiple instances running of the emby server so I can use different languages, but how can I start a 2nd instance of mediabrowser without having to add/configure everything from scratch, so without using the install wizard, how to changes ports etc, so I don't get errors. I found some ports settings in system/config.xml but those don't seem to be the only place where these setting are made, someone any suggestions?
