Twisted 8 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I cannot get my albums to show up in Kodi. Everything is visible in Emby, but only artists and songs will transition over to Kodi. I have tried a fresh install of Kodi and upgraded to "Isengard", nothing seems to help. Is this a known issue?
c0m3r 95 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Works fine for me. I just select the album item on the submenu. Which skin are you using?
Twisted 8 Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 i am using Xperience 1080, but it also does not work on the standard skin. I tried Helix and Isengard, they both have everything but Albums showing up. I reistalled everything and delted my old profile, but still no dice
c0m3r 95 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Not familiar with those skins but if you try and add a custom menu item you should be able to select albums from within the music menu.
Twisted 8 Posted July 5, 2015 Author Posted July 5, 2015 The challenge is, it does not see my albums at all, so I cannot add a custom menu item to it. So there must be something going on with the new build or my set-up is broke. I was hoping to find some ways to troubleshoot this issue.
Oxide 139 Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Did you try enabling Library mode in Kodi Music section? I couldn't browse my music either until I enabled Library mode.
Twisted 8 Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Are there instructions around this? I have been trying to find some online and no luck.
Angelblue05 4131 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 @@Twisted - Change your skin to confluence. Go into music, then press left to open the config tab... then enable Music library mode. Let us know if you then see your albums.
Twisted 8 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 @@Angelblue05 I checked and it was actually already on. I did select update library (from Kodi) and then everything did load. I do not know if it will continue to update now or not. The only unfortunate part is it does not show the albums I created in Emby, it shows the actually album for the song. I am trying to find a way to create a playlist by folder, so it updates as I add songs. I figured out a way to do this by putting songs in a folder and creating a custom album. Now every time I add a song, it updates the album (playlist). It’s not a perfect system, but it works. I was hoping these playlists would show up in Kodi, as they do in Emby, but no dice. http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/15937-music-mood-playlists/
Angelblue05 4131 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 (edited) Well see, why didn't you mention you were not talking about actual albums but talking about playlist. Totally different things. We don't currently import Emby playlists, it will be done eventually - added to our trello board https://trello.com/c/pGqWa4fR/112-import-emby-playlists Edited July 12, 2015 by Angelblue05
Twisted 8 Posted July 13, 2015 Author Posted July 13, 2015 I actually do not use playlists. I need a method to create a playlist by folder and have it update as I add songs to it. The only option I have found is creating an album and locking the metadata. This works great, the only downside is it sorts the music by song number. http://emby.media/co...mood-playlists/ I was looking to pull this into Kodi, but it does not see my albums, the way that Emby does.

Twisted 8 Posted July 14, 2015 Author Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) The only option I have found to create playlist in Emby is manually. This doesn’t work for me, as I am constantly adding songs to my playlist. I currently already put them into a folder by playlist. I do not see a way in Emby to create a playlist and have it monitor a folder for updates. However, it does see music in a folder as an album and that will automatically get updated as I add new songs. So today I am using albums as my playlist until this enhancement comes about.
