For me it´s not working with this file name for example -> "Two and a Half Men.S12E12.Alans.gefährliche.Liebschaften"

Emby Version 0.1.8

Can you post your log so we can see more information? Thanks :)

Also have you tried starting from scratch? There were a few modifications in the past update that affected the database and some users were not able to get playback. What you can try is resetting your local Kodi db via the addon settings and letting your content scan in again.

I have attached the log files.  :)

I also noticed if I tried to play the files with the previous addon version, i got an "emby script error", now just nothing happens.

Resetting the database -> also no success

I'm looking, but I'm curious to know - In the addon settings > playback tab, if you set play from HTTP, are you able to play the episode? Thanks.

Same problem here, since last 2 or 3 versions no direct play with files they contain for example : ü,ö,ä !

Only http play will work but thats not what i want!

Use actual version of addon!

Can someone try out the version on Github to let me know if it's working correctly now?

All you need to do is download the version here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Kodi

In your appdata Kodi > addons folder find plugin.video.emby - Erase the content inside and replace with the content from the zip, then start Kodi and try to play the content. If it works, I will push to beta repo asap. Thanks guys :)

Not working for me.

I have installed it via "Install from ZIP", or do I have to install it as you described?

Install as I described, thank you. It's just to test if the modified version works for playback, so all we do is replace the content of plugin.video.emby with the modified version. :)
