Spaceboy 2565 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Hi, i'm trying to set up a roku for my 92 year old grandfather so simplicity is paramount here. I want to install the beta because i've generally found them to be very stable but i can't see a way of hiding the views or rows in the beta app. it all works fine in the release build, i have it limited to a tv row, a movie row and one showing the folder view. i just want to replicate this in the beta but it seems the functionality has been removed or isn't working. any ideas? cheers
Koleckai Silvestri 1151 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Set the preferences for the account in the web client. Roku should inherit those settings.
Spaceboy 2565 Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 already done, as i said its working in the release but not in the beta of the roku app
Happy2Play 9442 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) Sounds to me like library access/permissions. Users, then select username-access. Edited March 29, 2015 by Happy2Play
Spaceboy 2565 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 but its still the same server, the only difference is the mb app? beta vs release. anyway a nice end to this story i think. i sent the package containing a roku 3 plus all cables to my grandfather, all set up to log in as the correct user, all his series set as favourites etc as long as he selected the mb app. i meant to email my mum today to tell her how to get it all set up but got waylaid at work and have just received a text from her to say she went round this evening and found him already watching it! i took a look in the activity log and he's been on it for the last 10 hours non stop! so there you go, mb on a roku - easy enough for a 92 year old to use without instruction 1
