Sorahl 1
so. here I am, upgraded to V3 and I decide want to change how I've been doing things Under V2 I had each disc in a box set ripped separately (all in Video_TS format) Now i'm investigating the best way to do this more elegantly. as a trial I have done this The Adventures of Black Beauty Season One was in three separate folders (one for each disc) Now I made this structure The Adventures of Black Beauty Season 1 The Adventures of Black Beauty S01E01-E08 disc files The Adventures of Black Beauty S01E09-E16 disc files The Adventures of Black Beauty S01E17-E25 disc files no meta data is coming up. In the metadata manager I can not specify the IMDB code until I get down to the disc folder level. Even with the tt code in there it does not get the meta data. So.. when I look at my Movie view there is all these nice covers and then a blank box with lettering telling me that this is where Black Beauty is. what am I doing wrong? thanks for your help!! Deathsquirrel 743
Ideally, use MakeMKV to rip each episode as a separate file and label each one in a supported format like 'The New Adventures of Black Beauty S01E01 The Old World.mkv'. Then all episodes for the season go into a folder together with a simple structure like: \tv\The New Adventures of Black Beauty\Season 01 \tv\The New Adventures of Black Beauty\Season
Luke 37994
Your movie view, or your tv view? If you've classified the folder structure as movies then it's not going to work. whatever folder is above The Adventures of Black Beauty if that folder is classified as tv then this ought to work just fine
Sorahl 1
ok.. I like the second idea better (Thanks anyway DeathSquirrel but I really like maintaining the dvd format). I can totally move all DVD's of tv shows to other folders just for that type of recording.. thanks.. i'll update after I make the move john
