Completed v0.560 - screensaver not starting & photos won't play.

Just updated to v0.560 but neither the screensaver starts or the photos play.

 

Both were working in v0.550b.

I have deleted the app, powered off / on the TV and reinstalled, but still the same.

Sorry but I can't replicate this - Please post the item info of a photo you are trying to display, and the menus you are trying to load the photo from.

The screensaver does not start at all.

I'm pressing play when I have the photos Media Folder highlighted but nothing.

Nothing happens if I select a single photo either.

It's not just a particular photo, but everything.

Are you saying that you can play photos OK on your TV and that the screensaver starts?

I've tried the Images from Media Folders as well as my Photos folder in the screensaver settings.

Can you go into the metadata manager and tell me if your photos you are trying to play have dates in the Date Added & Release Date fields

Date added yes, but there is nothing in the Release Date field for a lot of my photos:

 

 

I only recently added my Photos to MB3 again when the screensaver was released that could play them.

Screen saver is working on my tv.  I do not have my pictures set up yet in MB, just displaying movie thumbs/backdrops.  The text is still delayed in changing in the new position at the bottom though

Where does the date/time that is overlayed onto the photos come from? I ask as it's not displayed for all of the photos displayed so want to check.

 

Also, can the overlayed info be made smaller? To me, it's a little too big.

 

Is the colon separating the date time necessary? Could it be a space instead, or at least an underscore.

1. Don't know - I don't know how the server populates this data

2. The size use the subtitle sizes - change those in settings.

3. Use the red button.

1. OK, will check a few photos metadata. It must be the Release Date field bring "undefined".

 

2. Default is 30px, but if I change to smallest option available, 26th, there's not a great deal of difference.

Yep, it's the Release Date field.

 

If I add one, then the date is displayed over the photo.

Oh yeah sorry - the app uses the release data - The only other date field filled in is the date added, which i assume is when it was added to the library

The option works very well after the update

Using the previous release, I checked different photo collections and noticed the app was cashing the thumbnails at the first time I entered the photo folder , some collections which were cashed already in previous session worked, but ones which was cashing slowly (apparently because of the size of the image was very big) they didn't play at all

That is fixed now with the new release, Thanks @@chessdragon136

I use date only, but when I exit and re-enter the app, it reverts to date & time.

It's not an option, just the ability for setting chosen to be remembered.

 

Not the end of the world if it's not possible to do.

My thought was to just have the current used setting persist rather than expos it directly in the settings of the app
