Is there anyway to force a refresh and have it completely replace existing metadata and images? I used to use this feature in MetaBrowser to clean up everything. I find a lot of the time when I fetch metadata and images, they get updated with better ones over a few weeks. It would be great to be able to schedule a force refresh once a month or something, and if possible, select the collections which I want to do.

or enable tmdb and tvdb updates.

How well does that work? I've enabled both, but I have items that are a little older and haven't been updated, maybe from before I've enabled that option.

(to be honest I never read that correctly and actually knew what it was, it's a great feature!)

example? i'm not aware of any current issues with it, although that's not to say there aren't any.

I just noticed a bunch of TV shows where the episode thumb was out of date. It actually had the extracted thumb since the tvdb one probably wasn't available at the time. I manually deleted them and ran a refresh. A refresh on it's own didn't seem to replace it. I can get ID numbers etc. if you like?

this is where we're different from mb2 and more like metabrowser. deleting the images isn't going to cause them to re-download. you have to force refresh those items, which could be done at a higher level to get them all at once.

Yeah, but a refresh didn't seem to update it. It only worked after I deleted the image first.

we don't replace existing images.

Yeah, I figured that. I was sort of aiming for that in the feature request. Is there a possible way for adding the option to force replace existing images?
