So when setting up a user in MB3 Server, there is a check box to allow a user to delete library content.

My question is, how does this work? I have created a user and checked this box. But when I log in as this user using MBT, there does not appear to be any way to delete media.

I'm hoping it is not meant to sign into MB Server as that user, and delete media from there, as I can already do that from Windows explorer, without having to deal with MB. I want to be able to delete a show or video after watching it, especially if I did not like the video.

Thanks for any replies.

The apps need to implement that function. I don't know everything from all the apps. But probably it's not yet implemented then...

Don't know about other apps - but the Delete option is available in MBC.

It also makes sense in the WebUI - because you could be browsing via a phone or a tablet and not have access to Windows file explorer.

The web client is the best place to make deletions I reckon. Sometimes I'll use MBC. They are the only 2 places I know of where you can delete.

Thanks everyone. I'll have to check MBC. I don't use it much due to an issue with ff/RW .I usually use MBT and my ROKU.

I wish they would add this feature to MB Theater. I updated MB Classic last night. Although the delete feature shows up, I still can't FF or RW in Classic. Those are even more important to me than delete, so I'll continue using Theater.

While FF and Rew aren't typically supported in WMC, several methods of skipping are and those can be much more effective/useful...

in the meantime nowdays many of us have smartphone or tablet in hand when we're on the couch. you can use MBT and easily delete from the web interface. i'm sure eventually MBT will have it, but until then there are at least some options.

OK, thanks. I'll have to try out the web interface from my tablet some time.

Is it simply the ip address of the computer running MBS and/port?

http://<servername or IP address>:8096/web/dashboard.html  will get you to the server interface.
