More advanced image download/processing

Would it be possible to have the image downloading enhanced to process the images to enforce uniformity. Or maybe have a plugin to do this.

 

It should also help to avoid some of the scaling and other image issues with various clients. 

 

What I like to see is:

 

1. Option to resample the image resolution to a preferred pixels per inch. Right now what I have found is that posters vary from 1 to 3800 pix/inch. It creates issues for clinets and files are sometimes excessively big.
2. Expand the backdrop preferred image size to include Posters, Thumbs, Disc, Banners, Etc..
