I think this was covered but I cannot find anything about it after a search so I might be reposting an idea that has already been commented on, but here it goes...

 

Keep it Clean

The idea behind this request is that the plugin or feature would scan your library and keep it clean. This is done by removing shows that have been watched and not marked as Keep For Ever, or by cleaning based on an episode watch status and if it hasn’t been watched.

 

Movies:

• Remove unwatched movies after X days.
• Remove watched movies after X days if not marked as “Archive/Keep for Ever”. - Default
• Keep until space is needed
• Keep For Ever - This file is never removed unless manually done so by user.

 

TV Shows:

• Series Level.
  • Keep for Ever
  • Keep until space is needed
  • Keep last X aired episodes
  • Remove after X days if watched
  • Remove after X days if unwatched
• Season Level
  • Keep for Ever
  • Keep until space is needed
  • Default (Uses Series Level Options)
• Individual Episode Level
  • Keep for Ever
  • Keep until space is needed
  • Default (Uses Series Level Options)

 

For me personally I would like to see this control in the web interface, and it would be nice to have a limited level of this control in XBMC but can live without.
