Recently have had EmbyServer on Synology NAS crashing, and on checking, it's using all Private memory - started a couple of days ago.  It's not immediate, but jumps after a period (say overnight).  Only way to recover is to kill the task when I notice.

Not sure if it's connected, but recently installed Prowlarr (first ever install), and updated versions of Sonarr and Radarr to the Synology packages (previously were installed from ghrc.io). I assume I need to share logs, but not sure where to get them

Also, earlier in the morning, I spotted it spiking in memory (the initial post) and here's the log from that session prior to stopping it.image.thumb.png.375fc8baec25f5a99822847f9465c7a6.pngembyserver-63882380605.txt

Went into emby to see if there was a transcoding log, and spotted massive spike in mem use again - snapshot of Task Manager enclosed in case it helps.  Note, this was before I went into Emby, just opened up Synology and saw ResMonitor RAM at 97%.  There's no ffmpeglog.  This was p robably the shortest time after starting when it did this.  Attached logs for this one in case it's easier to find something.embyserver-63882435213.txtimage.thumb.png.f8e772dba46dfc2cf979c803e8c112ee.png

I read a post that had a similar problem and that it might have been linked to library scans.  To test, I set my scan media library to daily at 5am.  Overnight, there was no crashes until 6:18. In the morning when I check, edI stopped the Emby server manually (I think - trying to remember, but I definitely started it):

HI, we'll take a look at this. Thanks.

Emby server died at 6:51am today, and not any other time during the day.  I suspect it is due to the scanimage.thumb.png.32b44e4a43f6646b99b49469ad40c33c.png

Attached log for that period.embyserver-63882644158.txt.  To check if it is definitely related to the scan - I'll change the schedule from 5am daily to 6am and see if the crash moves to an hour later.

After setting the library scan to start at 6am (1 hour than the previous runs), the crash is now 1 hour after the other ones; so it does seem to be related to the scan. Logs attached

One thing you could try to see if it helps is turn off the realtime monitor for each of your emby libraries, and then restart the server and see if it happens again.

It's crsahing consistently at 8am-ish, so does seem to be linked to that daily trigger.  Have turned it off to see if it helps.

Stupid question - if it's monitoring it in real time, do I need the schedule trigger anyway?

It did crash with this.  Since I turned off the scheduled daily scan/sync, and left it as Real Time Monitoring, it's been fine.  I guess it might be an existing series or movie when it's scanning?  Is there a way to see what scan is causing the issue?

Can you please provide a new log example? Thanks.
