Hey,

I am in the process of moving to emby and have encountered several problems with ASS subtitles of which my library has many. I'm talking here about embedded subtitles in mkv.

1. Ass subtitles in web player display without proper fonts and formatting or they don't display at all.

2. Ass subtitles in LG webOS player display without proper fonts and formatting or they don't display at all.

3. I would also like to use force burn in subtitles during transcoding because the synchonization breaks up, is this possible? And additionally I would like to use HW subtitles burn in.

Example of mkv

I tested on firefox and edge, is the same.

I downloaded 4.9.0.48 beta and it looks like the web player with ass subs is working properly now

4.9.0.48-beta Pre-release

- Support director as selectable field

- Add library options to control generation of chapters when none are embedded within video files

- Improve usage of embedded .ass fonts in the web app

Just have to wait for the LG player fix.

I also have a problem with the option:

Disables hardware accelerated burn-in of graphical subtitles and Forces burning in subtitle with video transcoding
