sjepson 0 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I recently purchased an Amazon Echo Show 15 and before I did I checked on here to make sure Emby was compatible. I've had it for a couple weeks now and am experiencing a few issues I am hoping to get help with. I already looked though the forums and did not find these specific issues so if there are posts about how to solve them please point me to them. Issue 1: The Emby for Fire TV app does not work. If I install it I can connect to the server but as soon as I select account a password prompt pops up and there is no keyboard. This app does not appear to work with a touchscreen so I have to use the onscreen remote but there is no option to pull up a keyboard. If I install the Emby Android app then it still does not work with the touch screen but at least a keyboard pops up and I am able to enter my password and get in. Should touch work? And should I be able to use the Fire TV app vs the Android app? Issue 2: Many times throughout the day an SSL message pops up asking if I want to allow the server to connect using a certificate from mb3admin.com. I have to pull up the onscreen remote and toggle to OK. This message pops up at least 50 times a day, probably more. I am connecting to my local server through the HTTP port and have turned off remote connections on my Emby server but for some reason the app continually reaches out and I get that SSL error. When it happens there will be one error a second for a couple minutes and I have to clear each one individually using the onscreen remote. Below is a screenshot of the error (when you click OK another one immediately pops up and the only thing that changes is the timestamp will be a few seconds different) and logs are attached. embyserver-63879753600.txt
sjepson 0 Posted April 10 Author Posted April 10 I think I figured it out the second issue, I use SafeDNS for DNS filtering and it appears they recently flagged mb3admin.com as a parked domain and started blocking it, I added it to the whitelist and it seems to have fixed it. For the last few hours we have not had the error pop up - so that (hopefully) resolved that one. Am I doing anything wrong with the Amazon Fire app or should I just use the Android app?
