I am trying to figure out some problems on my QNAP server that SEEMED to start after installing Emby Server on my QNAP NAS.

So I stopped the Emby Server in App Center.

But when I go to the Resource Monitor in QNAP it shows Emby Server as still running.

This needs to be fixed. We have to KNOW that when we stop an application, it actually does stop.

QNAP of course doesn't help by not letting us stop processes from the GUI.

NAS TVS-473e, 24GB RAM, firmware: QTS 5.2.4.3079 (which is the latest)

Emby Server 4.8.11.0

Hi, if you shutdown using the emby web app, how does that compare?

Interesting... It does disappear from the Processes, but does not show as stopped in the QNAP App Center.

So basically the opposite problem...

Here you go. Heres a log from when I Stopped Emby in the QNAP interface. And it still shows as running in the QNAP resources lists, plus in "top" on a command line in WinSCP / Putty

I truncated it at the front up to about 14:30 because I issued the Stop command at about 14:36

Looks to me like its still running TV show metadata updates..

Then I used the Shutdown command from Emby at about 14:45 and got this log.

Truncated from the front un until about 14:43

It looks to me like it shuts down in the log. And it then vanished from the server processes.

Because QNAP still thought it was running, I had to then Stop Emby in QNAP, then Start it again. Which all went as expected.

Hi, these are just log snippets. Please provide the complete log file from the time the server started up until the time when you tried to shut down. Thanks.
