Hmm - for ATV (Shield/FireTV), long press of the OK button is to bring up SFN - Personally I use this all the time for me to check it's direct playing, refresh rate is correct etc.  Press and hold again to remove.

SFN in the Android App is lots of button presses and a faff in comparison.

It also has much of the important TV information missing - such as refresh rate etc.

So that explains why I "mysteriously" get SFN popping up on my screen...and having not known that, I have to navigate through the bottom row buttons and the triple-dot menu to disable it!

On a more serious note, wouldn't it make sense to contextualize the use of the "ok" long press?  During playback, toggle SFN, and on any other non-playback screen, jump to home?  Just a thought.
