Carlo 4547 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Hi Can you ping or traceroute to nas-diskstation on your LAN? If so, is the destination IP the same as what Emby Server was showing in the Dashboard prior to changing the network settings? Try replacing nas-diskstation in the URL with the IP of your Synology NAS to see if this might work.
Eigeplackter 79 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 You cannot use another port that easy, there's a lot of tweaking needed, so better stick to 8096/8920. Did you configure the needed reverse proxy entry for the url ?

Eigeplackter 79 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Did you reboot the ans after deinstalling your 1st try ? Eventually, if you did reboot, you might need to delete some files additionally, havent seen that happen yet. Connectiong to your synology via cli (ssh) and go to /var/packages/ and check if there is still an folder named EmbyServer.

Then I reboot the device and checked /var/packages - there is no folder "EmbyServer" (see attachment) Now I reinstalled EmbyServer (see attachment) - but if i go to the configure link - the behaviour is the same - forbidden (see attachment)

Solution Luke 39654 Posted March 16 Solution Posted March 16 Yes, you can delete that folder to make a fresh start, if that's what you want to do.

I have deleted the folder /volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer - and then I could install EmbyServer correctly - Thanks a lot btw - I remove folders manually - is there one command to do it recursivly - also when the directories are not empty?

FrostByte 5217 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 To recursively remove directories using command line add the -r option rm -r <directory> 1

The "f" forces the process and avoids a prompt that can happen at times, which could be problem in scripted use. 1
