Alepim 7 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 In the Embi settings on the server I see the local network IP address and the external IP address. I connect the client to the iPad via the external address and cannot download or watch on the iPad when it is connected to my home Wi-Fi.
Alepim 7 Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 On iPad I see a playback error: There are currently no compatible streams. Please try again later or contact your administrator for details.
Luke 39654 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 HI, I would check iOS settings and ensure that the emby app is granted local network access.

In order for the iPad to work via cellular communication, I forwarded port 8096 to my Sinology on the Keenetic router. But I don't know how to do this for iPads on a local network. If that's the problem.
Carlo 4547 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Hi @Alepim You're getting a lot of errors in your logs from Open Subs due to invalid credentials, so you'll want to fix that or turn off use of Open Subs. I couldn't see the list of IPs Emby Server is bound to in the logs so let me ask a couple of questions. Are you using any type of proxy, reverse proxy, tunnel or VPN? Besides the hardware supplied by your ISP, do you have any other routers, access points, range extenders, MoCA, powerline or G.hn devices in use? Is your Emby server connected to your router over Ethernet? This is a tricky one. Some routers create Wi-Fi networks using a different LAN subnet then it's Ethernet which is useful for iOT devices as well as guest networks, so they have Internet access but not access to your internal network. Check to make sure that you iPad has an IP from Wi-Fi that is part of the same local network shown on the Emby Dashboard.
Alepim 7 Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 @ Карло, Спасибо! I re-entered the Open Subtitles section on the Emby server, maybe the password was wrong. I don't know anything about a proxy or a tunnel. I forwarded port 8096 from an external connection to my Synology. The Emby server has an internal IP http://192.168.1.200:8096. For iPad: 192.168.1.100. I have two routers. The first one, which is designated as a controller, is connected to the provider and Synology is connected to it. The second router is in repeater mode. Wi-Fi works as a MASH system. A TV is connected to Wi-Fi, it shows movies from Emby perfectly. A desktop computer is connected by wire to the repeater. It shows movies. From my laptop I went to 192.168.1.200:8096 and was able to watch the movie.
Alepim 7 Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 Thanks! I added a server to the iPad with the name of the DNS router
