Hello everyone,

Today i replaced my old TV Samsung 125cm 50KU6072 with another Samsung 163cm 65QN90D.
Has anyone encountered the problem where you cannot login from the Emby app installed on the TV ?
It brought me to login page where it offered to connect:
- via Emby Connect
- via ip and port

Via Emby Connect it shows me a PIN, i go to the webpage, enter the email/pass and PIN, the app loads couple of seconds and then it brings me to the same page where it says the same things, connect via emby connect or ip/port.
I tried via ip/port, entered ip or ip:port or http:ip or http:ip/port, nothing, it says it cannot connect and to check if i have the server online.

The server clearly is on, i tried same steps from Windows, bring me to same windows, i connect with Emby Connect, enter mail/pass and brings me to my server where i enter server account user/pass and it connects, so in Browser (Firefox) on Windows10 it works.

Idk what could be the problem on the TV.

It has internet connection, the ethernet cable is plugged in, youtube is working, idk why it doesn't work.

If someone else perhaps encountered issues like this and has some insights, i would really appreciate it.

The TV Tizen version is: FW : T-PTMDDEUC-1201.8
The Emby server version is: 4.8.10.0

Thanks,
Calin

Added my email address into the account i have in my Emby server, i received an email of confirmation email
"This account has been requested to link to the server. Please confirm this action"
Surprisingly after i tried again with Emby Connect, entered email, pass and PIN it prompted me to a different screen where it sees my Emby server name, but when trying to connect to it says "Unable to reach".

I found on a different post an interesting phrase, another member was saying that he disconnected the ethernet/LAN and connected via Wireless and it suddenly worked.
Then i realized my TV has the possibility to connect Wirelessly, that's what i did.
I disconnected from ethernet/LAN and connected via Wireless, uninstalled and re-installed the Emby app from Samsung Apps and when i opened the Emby app it automatically detected and saw the server, managed to login and now it works.

I don't know why, but via ethernet it doesn't work.

Perhaps somebody else might stumble upon this post and who knows, might find why via ethernet doesn't work.

Hi, so you’re all connected now?

Hello Luke and apologies for the delayed answer.

Yes, since then everything works fine, via wifi.

I don't understand why via LAN it doesn't work, perhaps there might be some security protocols via ethernet cable, idk, but i thank god that at least via wifi it works.
