Network Audio Amplifier SU-GX70 not supported?

Hi everyone,

actually the title says it all...

The DLNA plugin is installed and active. Everything is updated. Apps like BubbleUPnP and VLC work flawless. From Bubble I can even stream from emby server to the amplifier, on VLC via Chromcast.

In the official App Technics Audio Center I am able to see emby server and files but am unable to play them.

Also (maybe not an DLNA issue) I can't use the amplifier's Chromecast directly through the Emby-App. If I do it fails to connect and then plays the music locally on my phone.

To me it seems to be some device incompatibility.

I would be very pleased to not rely on another App like BubbleUPnP since I am an emby-enthusiast. 🙂 Would be great if amplifiers like this one will get supported!

Hi there, what exactly happens when you try?

Hi Luke...

it has been weird. Right after my post it suddenly worked. It even showed the play-to-option on all possible emby clients (browser, android apps) and also the Technics app worked fine. Then after some time the play to option disappeared again from the emby app. The only thing staying consistent is the failing chromcast connection. Casting to other devices is working btw.

Then yesterday evening everything worked using Technics Audio Center. Then this morning again I wanted to play some music. Emby on Android still showing the chromcast connection is still failing to connect. Emby-DLNA still shows in the Technics-App but fails to play music. It constantly says I shall try again in one minute. This is 30 minutes ago.

Attached the debug logs where I tried to reproduce...

I tried to create a dlna profile btw. It didn't do any change... Looking forward to some help!

What exactly is it showing?

Right now on Chromium (Linux system) it doesn't show the amplifier at all. Now on my Android phone in the Emby-App it only shows the Chomecast option. Yesterday on my Android for a very short period of time it also showed the DLNA option (see screenshot).

When I choose the Chromecast option I see a blue circle (trying to connect which fails) and the music plays locally from my phone.

The DLNA issue though might be a network/amplifier problem... I realized that the amplifier shows up replugging it. I contacted Technics support about it. Let's see. Should I open another Thread about emby not being able to connect to this particular Chromecast?

Hi, to debug the chromecast issue, we'll need an android app log:

Thanks.

Attached the android app log.

App Version is 3.4.36.

Server Version is 4.8.10.0.

Here the link to the latest FW on the amplifier.

THX!

What makes you think that it fails?

As I tried to explain before - the cast-symbol (up right corner) in the app/browser only shows the connection for a free seconds, which then seems to fail. I see a blue circle loading the file which disappears and then the music starts playing locally in the browser/app device. Streaming the same files from DLNA or through other Apps like VLC works.,

So you're able to connect to Emby Server DLNA using VLC?

The DLNA-Issue is solved. Since I switched the amp to use WIFI, it works. What does not work is to use the Inbuilt Chromcast. I am able to cast from VLC, YT and other apps, but not from the emby app, why I provided you the android app log above.

Does the google home app see it as a chromecast device?
