tanStaafl 8 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Not sure this is related, but I was looking at my server logs and there are numerous 'errors' regarding my collections. My collections work fine, but it appears to be looking in the wrong subdirectory and is causing an error in the dll's. Just thought it might mean something. Logs attached. embyserver-63873532800.txt embyserver.txt 1

Would need a copy of the library.db file to find out more - I will send you a link to upload a copy of the library.db and I can have a look All the errors refer to a database id of 52892 2025-01-27 00:13:17.839 Error App: Error in validateChildren for 52892 C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections 2025-01-27 00:28:17.074 Error App: Error in validateChildren for 52892 C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections 2025-01-27 00:43:16.917 Error App: Error in validateChildren for 52892 C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections 2025-01-27 00:58:17.272 Error App: Error in validateChildren for 52892 C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections The path showing in the error message 'C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections' could be relating to a collection created in an old version of Emby Server System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections'. 1

I am looking at the collections related errors issue Can you tell me if there is a collections folder in this path C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\collections and if there is, could you confirm that it has folders for each of your collections and tell me what folders exist just below C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\
sa2000 342 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 @tanStaafl I have been looking at the database. I think the errors are to do with legacy collections items - dating back to May 2021 - pre Emby Server 4.6.0. I am not sure at this point what the migration process was for collections pre version 4.6.0.50 These collections appear to link to the legacy data paths - to a parent folder which I presume does not exist any more : "C:\Users\Greg\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data\collections" Does this folder exist ? What folders are within it - if it does exist? Attaching a list of 53 collections that point to paths within this legacy data collections folder Legacy Collections List (53 collections).txt and there are 75 collections using the current data model for collections - list attached Current Collections data mdel List (75 collections).txt Of the 53 legacy collections, i cannot find these 8 as collections using the new data model Comedy Collection [boxset] Disney Classic Collection [boxset] Disney Pixar Collection [boxset] Dragonheart Collection [boxset] Predator Collection [boxset] Sherlock Holmes Collection [boxset] Taken Collection [boxset] The Twilight Saga Collection [boxset] It is possibel that there was an issue during the migration of the legacy collections resulting in the data remaining in the database referencing the legacy data path folders - all 53 do refer to the legacy path Maybe you have had these errors in the log all the time since May 2021

This seems like it needs a separate post @sa2000 1
SShzin 6 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 (edited) Disregard. Edited February 3 by SShzin Noticed different post.
Luke 39638 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Hi, yea this has something to do with the upgrade from older versions. I'm pretty sure the error in the log can just be ignored.
sa2000 342 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Yes it appears to be harmless and caused by some migration / upgrade issue after May 2021. The error relating to the legacy collections set is being logged every 15 minutes Only 8 of the 53 legacy collections do not appear in the new collections data model setup for the 75 active collections
