Deuas 2 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Hello Emby team. Im struggling to find out why my emby server wont use hardware acceleration (Quicksync) when tone mapping HDR material, it uses software tone mapping instead, making my CPU work very hard. Im sitting with this hardware: 14600k, z790m prime, 16gigs 6000mhz Windows 11 newest build. I tried with a dummy HDMI too without luck. Running Emby Server beta 4.9.0.37 Emby Premiere ofc My transcoding settings and stuff is down below. ffmpeg-transcode-daeb92d9-4128-4e9c-8f58-a9d676a8b470_1.txt Edited February 1 by Deuas 1

Clackdor 83 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 It seems hardware tone mapping is still broken in the latest drivers on windows. I have a 12600k with the same UHD 770 IGPU. Hardware tone mapping with driver version 31.0.101.5382 is working for me. There may be a slightly newer driver that works, but I'm not sure. It's definitely frustrating having to use an old driver to get it working though. 1
Solution Deuas 2 Posted February 1 Author Solution Posted February 1 Youre my hero, thank you so much! i downloaded the driver you mentioned, and now it finally works, thank you so much again. Have a nice day! 1
carlbme 13 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Same problem here. Only issue is I can't seem to find the older version that'll install. Does anyone have a link to the legacy Intel drivers that work?

IMO the best way is to use the wayback machine to access archived versions of the Intel driver download site since the live site only displays a limited number of past driver versions. I personally don't trust downloading drivers from other sites/sources.
