updatefreak 5 Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Hi, I use Emby for kodi next gen to sync my music to the Kodi Client (RPi with Libreelec) with Emby as Docker container on a Synology NAS. My music location is /volum1/music/Favoriten. Is it possible to sync also the music playlists? My playlist is in the m3u format (location: volume1/music/Playlist/Playlist.m3u) has the following structure: ../Favoriten/Artist 1 - Song 1.flac ../Favoriten/Artist 2 - Song 2.flac This works directly in Emby, but I can not see these playlist in the Kodi Playlists. For Kodi I changed playlist structure to sftp://beispiel.dynv6.net:1246/Musik/Favoriten/Artist 1 - Song 1.flac sftp://beispiel.dynv6.net:1246/Musik/Favoriten/Artist 2 - Song 2.flac and copied these files manually to Kodi, which also works in Kodi. But maybe there is a step to not manually have to change the playlists and sync them? (not sure if a other structure works also in Kodi)
quickmic 1557 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Do you use 11.X version and did you select the playlists library to be synced?
updatefreak 5 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 I have the v10.0.47 and v10.1.0 installed on Kodi (from the stable repo). The playlist-folder is part of the music library (-> Favoriten, Soundtracks and Playlists as separate folders)
quickmic 1557 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Did you try the playlists via dynamic nodes?
updatefreak 5 Posted December 4, 2024 Author Posted December 4, 2024 I did not find an item for the playlists there or do I miss something? I have attached pictures from the menu and a example playlist. Running.m3u
quickmic 1557 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) Is the playlist reported on emby as playlist? Check the video dynamic node too. I'll also improve the playlists in one of the next versions. Seems music is not listed if you go via music nodes... Edited December 5, 2024 by quickmic
updatefreak 5 Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 In emby via Chrome I saw the playlist. I also checked the video, tvshow section (dynamic node), but also there a playlist item is not shown for me (checked it on Kodi (LibreELEC) on RPi and on Windows (Kodi v21.1 - latest version)). 1
quickmic 1557 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Please try 11.1.13 -> use dynamic nodes. Synced nodes might not work at the moment, and I'll probably remove it from synced content due to Kodi limitations. Edited December 21, 2024 by quickmic
updatefreak 5 Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 I tested the v11.1.13 but I did not found a playlist item in the list. Do I miss something? I attached the screenshots of Kodi (latesd version for Windows)
quickmic 1557 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 You ar browsing the "Musik" library. There must be a "Playlist" library.
updatefreak 5 Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 Yes, there is this item, but it's emtpy (but on Emby I can see my playlists).
quickmic 1557 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 This is not the dynamic node. Add-ons -> My-addons -> Music-addons -> Emby for Kodi next gen (Audio) -> Open -> Dynamic Nodes -> Playlists
updatefreak 5 Posted December 23, 2024 Author Posted December 23, 2024 ah ok, thanks for clarifikation. I will check. One question: I saw that the "Emby for Kodi Next Gen (Audio)" is still in version 10.1.2 when I search for it in the beta repo of emby (https://kodi.emby.media/). In Dienste I saw the "Emby for Kodi Next Gen" is 11.1.13. So should I install the 11.1.13 and the Audio in 10.1.2 and then check the dynamic node?

Yes, the Audio, Image and Video addons are just helpers und usually not getting any updates. Core modul is the service addon. Edited December 23, 2024 by quickmic
updatefreak 5 Posted December 23, 2024 Author Posted December 23, 2024 I installed now both "Emby for Kodi Next Gen (Audio)" (10.1.2) and "Emby for Kodi Next Gen" (v11.1.13). I tried this path: Add-ons -> My-addons -> Music-addons -> Emby for Kodi next gen (Audio) -> Open -> Dynamic Nodes but still not found the item playlists (screenshots attached)

It's not there, it must be one before after selecting "Dynamische nodes" and before "Musik"  Edited December 23, 2024 by quickmic
updatefreak 5 Posted December 23, 2024 Author Posted December 23, 2024 Ah ok. After dynamic node and before "Musik" I have the attached screen
quickmic 1557 Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 (edited) Does the Emby user (you use on Kodi) have access to the playlists? Please try an admin account. Edited December 23, 2024 by quickmic
quickmic 1557 Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 (edited) I uploaded plugin.service.emby-next-gen-11.1.14 in the public testing folder. Please try it. Also you need to trigger a nodes reset and the playlist library resync. If this still doesn't fix the issue, I need a kodi debug log after Kodi start and trigger the resync again. Probably I would also need a test account on your server. Send everything via PM, don't upload debug logs in public! fyi, this is not the final version, there are still some issue e.g. autoplay next seems not to work... Edited December 25, 2024 by quickmic
updatefreak 5 Posted December 26, 2024 Author Posted December 26, 2024 I checked the plugin.service.emby-next-gen-11.1.14, but had the same result. Hope that clearing local database, and reinstallation of the v11.1.14 and resync of the librarys as correct (not sure if a nodes reset in then included, but I guess so. If not let me know). I will send you the kodi.log for detailed check
