please help with live tv and recording

I have setup an M3U file and got everything working including the guide.  However, when I am in the guide, and i select a tv show, there is a play option to watch the show, but no record option.

instead, i have to go to the recording section and set up a manual recording .  this is not easy as I need to remember the information of the show i want to record and i need to input it the hard way.

 

Can anyone help?

I am on a windows emby server. and everything else seem to work perfectly.

Have you tried connecting through an app rather than web client to see is there a difference

Are you the server admin ? I know the record buttons disappear if your user account on the server does not have "Live TV Recording Management" rights

Does the user you are logged in as have this permission?
