Fauzdar1 0 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) Hi, I've installed Emby using the services section of Coolify. The installation was super quick and I can access the Emby panel. The problem is it can't access any file in the root of the server, which is understandable. However, I can't grant access to any folder as there's no system user named "emby", I listed all the users using "/etc/passwd". I've tried giving permissions to certain folders for all the users, something I found in another thread, marked as the solution but it didn't work for me either. I tried putting the files in the folders visible in Emby's control panel, but, still it showed no files. I tried going through the Coolify's section where this service has been deployed, and I found nothing similar there either. All this means is that Emby is being run as a different system user, or in a container, where it has its own separate files, like a different system user. How can I provide the access to the files? It can't access root and shows "access denied". Edit 1: Accessed the terminal in Emby's section in Coolify's panel, and tried whoami, it says root. Tried reading the files and noticed, it's not listing most of the files. It's also not reading the folder I had given the permission to using the solution mentioned in the linked thread above. Whitepyro 2 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Can you at least say what you tried from the other thread, what happened, what did it say, what didn't it do? Kinding driving blind on that.
Luke 38528 Posted December 1 Posted December 1 HI, please attach the emby server log: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
